This page features scripts of our musicals comedies of Esther and Ruth that can be downloaded for your review. (Yes, I know many of these pages are available at other sections of this site -- it was a bit of poor planning.)

Plays are not written; they are rewritten. It’s the nature of the beast. So these are not the last versions, they’re just the latest.

The author would like to cut 5-7% of Ruth, but is waiting for input from theater pros to determine which songs and lines get cut. So, please don’t be intimidated by the length of that play.

You can listen to the music of Ruth by going to the Ruth Home page (top left corner of this page) and then going to various scenes (or Click Here). There are a total of 10 songs provided (about 1/2 of what's in the entire play). If you're interested in having Ruth used by your Theater company or other organization, contact Dennis at dldunn_att@msn.com or 503-375-7722 and all recordings will be provided to you.

Ruth has been scored for both piano and orchestra (it can be performed with orchestra recordings).

Esther has been scored for Piano only. Recordings of many of the Esther Songs are also available (there are about 6 excerpts at the Esther site) -- some are really good; others need to be redone due to poor recording or missed entrances.
